Chapter 108: Slaughter

“Brother, all I can offer you is this triangular bayonet. Will that do?”

After speaking, Liu Xiao’s hand gleamed coldly as she grasped the bayonet’s handle, pointing its tip straight at Ji Linmo, silently urging him to take it.

“Brother, take it, don’t be shy! My sister says you’re a good person!”

Ji Linmo stared at the sharp blade aimed at his chest, poised as if ready to strike at any moment, and fell into silence.

Ji Linmo’s eyes darkened.

In the distance, shadows multiplied, converging along the path toward them.

—It seemed the entire town of Happiness had mobilized to capture the two of them.

“Brother, I promise never to point the blade at you again, but you got my name wrong. I’m Liu Xiaoxiao; Liu Xiao is my sister.”

Quick-witted, Liu Xiao grabbed the cleaver from the ground as a weapon and struck first at the approaching man.

The man, armed only with a rope, raised his hand to block, but Liu Xiaoxiao laughed heartily, stopped her swing, and instead delivered a heavy kick to the man’s groin.

“Just kidding! Take my castrator kick!”

The man’s face twisted in pain as he clutched between his legs, his body curling like a shrimp.

But Liu Xiaoxiao didn’t stop; she grabbed a wooden stick and, grinning wickedly, jabbed it toward the man’s raised backside.

“Ha ha ha! Take my poison dragon drill!”

With a piercing scream, the man collapsed to his knees. Ji Linmo knew then that someone’s dignity from her hometown had been utterly destroyed.

“Liu Xiaoxiao... I absolutely believe you and Lin Bufei are a pair...”

Ji Linmo watched the man’s agonized form, expressionless.

“Hehe, thanks for the compliment, brother. How did you know this move was taught to me by Brother Lin Bufei?”

Liu Xiaoxiao did not catch Ji Linmo’s sarcasm and instead gave him a silly grin.

But by then, the townsfolk had already surrounded them.

“Head to the car.”

Ji Linmo motioned for Liu Xiaoxiao to move toward the nearby sedan.

“Medic! Medic! The medic is mine!”

Several men, their bodies covered in corpse-like spots, brandished weapons and lunged at Liu Xiaoxiao.

Ji Linmo’s face remained impassive as he swung the bayonet with his left hand, swiftly and precisely stabbing through the villains’ necks.

Each time the blade withdrew, blood sprayed onto Ji Linmo’s face.

Yet the stabbed men’s eyes suddenly glowed purple, and they stood up as if unharmed, grinning savagely as they raised sushi knives to attack.

—Indeed, these people were already dead.

How could the dead kill the living?

Ji Linmo deftly dodged their strikes and parried the weapons with his bayonet.

Sparks flew as metal clashed.

Locking eyes with his opponent, Ji Linmo suddenly swept his leg, knocking the man to the ground.

Without hesitation, he plunged the bayonet into the man’s eye.

“Damn you! I’ll kill you! I’ll kill you!”

Blinded, the man roared into the air and swung wildly.

“Keep your head down and move forward.”

Ji Linmo pressed Liu Xiaoxiao’s head down and slashed his bayonet fiercely to block the oncoming attack.

Liu Xiaoxiao obeyed, lowering her head as she walked, persistently hacking at the enemy’s legs with the cleaver.

Together, they carved a bloody path through the frenzied townsfolk.

“Do you know how to drive?”

After helping Liu Xiaoxiao into the nearby car, Ji Linmo asked.

“No.”

Liu Xiaoxiao shook her head, causing Ji Linmo to frown deeply.

—The car had no key inserted, and with only one hand, Ji Linmo would need at least ten minutes to start this old sedan.

Petite and unable to resist, she was dragged by her hair.

Yet she never ceased swinging the cleaver.

Her actions, however, only enraged more “residents.”

One female “resident” raised scissors and slashed toward Liu Xiaoxiao’s throat.

Ji Linmo immediately threw his bayonet, stabbing through her hand.

“Almost got two with one stab.”

He punched the nearest attacker, seized a baseball bat, and charged toward Liu Xiaoxiao’s position.

With only his left hand left and being right-handed, Ji Linmo’s movements were greatly restricted.

But at this moment, he had no choice but to fight the undead head-on, ensuring Liu Xiaoxiao remained unharmed.
