Chapter Nine: Temptation
Dr. Mundo’s “Virus Cleaver”
Ahri’s “Enchanted Kiss”
Tryndamere’s “Contempt”
Fiddlesticks’s “Fear”
Three out of four abilities were crowd control, and Bai Mu was nearly at his wit’s end.
As he exited the system space, the instructions from Spiral White Zetsu had just concluded—he had talked for a full half hour, worried Bai Mu wouldn’t know how to find food, and squeezed out a bottle of milky liquid for him to carry, with the system even providing an attribute.
“White Zetsu’s Essence of Life”
“After use, restores 500 life energy, 500 chakra, 10/10.”
“This time, I’m really leaving. I’ll come back to see you!” Bai Mu hugged Spiral White Zetsu one last time, then set off without looking back.
“Hey, young man, off on your own?” A woodcutter walked up to him.
“Mom, drop the act. I know it’s you.” Bai Mu’s face was expressionless; he couldn’t even form a sentence toward White Zetsu’s mama-boy antics.
White Zetsu’s Transformation Technique was infamous in the original story, nearly breaking the entire Allied Shinobi Forces.
The woodcutter tugged at his mouth, still trying to protest, “What are you talking about…?”
“We just parted five seconds ago!!” Bai Mu roared.
Spiral White Zetsu, utterly embarrassed, burrowed underground and vanished.
Bai Mu walked on.
Soon, an old woman approached him.
“Hey, young man, off on your own,” she greeted.
“…Mom.” Bai Mu’s face remained blank.
“It’s been two minutes already! How could you possibly recognize me?” Spiral White Zetsu was aghast.
“At least change your line!” Bai Mu raged.
“Alright, alright…” Spiral White Zetsu mused as he sank into the earth.
“Just let me go… my second rebellious phase is coming soon.” Bai Mu clenched his fists tightly, veins bulging on his forehead.
“Whimper… heartless child, weaned and gone…” Spiral White Zetsu fled, covering his face.
…
An hour passed. Bai Mu reckoned Spiral White Zetsu wouldn’t follow anymore; he didn’t have the patience for this, no way he’d persist so long.
Now Bai Mu’s top priority was to change out of his current women’s clothing!
Half a month without washing—nothing obvious on the outside, but inside it was almost paste, uncomfortable in every way.
In the original story, when Obito was crushed by rocks, he landed right at Madara’s base, which meant the base was near the Kannabi Bridge.
At this moment, it was the Third Great Ninja War, and the Kannabi Bridge battle was the critical turning point between the Land of Fire and the Land of Earth—the battle that made Minato Namikaze famous. In other words, Bai Mu was at the border between Fire and Earth.
According to Spiral White Zetsu, there was a small village a few kilometers south of the base; the clothes he wore were stolen from there. Bai Mu decided to go there first to change, then eat some normal human food to satisfy his cravings.
He hadn’t even seen the village yet, but by a small river, Bai Mu spotted a young ninja wearing black overalls, round sunglasses, and a Leaf forehead protector, nervously glancing around.
Just twelve or thirteen years old, yet already on the front lines—this showed how desperate Konoha was in this war, forced to send kids to battle.
“A lone Konoha ninja… looks a bit familiar.” Bai Mu hid behind a tree, trying to recall the child’s face from the anime.
But anime and reality were too different, and this wasn’t the same age as in the show; Bai Mu could only guess…
A kid with sunglasses…
Shifty movements…
Could it be Ebisu?!
Was he skulking by the river on a mission?
Since they crossed paths, Bai Mu couldn’t let this hundred gold coins slip away—getting his first item sooner meant establishing himself in the ninja world sooner.
Bai Mu gave a wicked smile, deciding to take down Ebisu.
…
Ebisu, mediocre in strength, future elite tutor to Konohamaru, notable for:
Lecherous!
Very lecherous!
Extremely lecherous!
A debonair pervert!
Konohamaru once found a mountain of adult magazines in Ebisu’s room, piled high in his wardrobe.
Though Ebisu was weak, he was still a Konoha genin, experienced in battle. Bai Mu might not fare well in a direct confrontation.
You use a net to catch fish, poison for rats; since he’s a pervert, the obvious tactic was seduction…
Bai Mu didn’t like wearing women’s clothes, but once the taboo was broken, it wasn’t so hard to accept…
In his past life, just to earn a meal, he often crossdressed as a body double for actresses.
Did you think the women pressed against the CEO’s car hood were really actresses? Did you think the warlords were actually groping their wives?
No, it was all poor male stand-ins like him!
Bai Mu straightened his kimono, using magician-like skills. With a dab of white powder, his thin face became defined, its lines soft with a hint of fragile charm.
Without hiding, he strode toward Ebisu, who was still nervously scanning the riverbank. Ebisu, ever the sharp graduate, immediately sensed someone approaching from behind and turned.
Oh… a girl! His guard dropped almost entirely!
So cute—how could she be an enemy?
Bai Mu smiled alluringly, leaned against a tree and arched his hips, tugging his clothes down to reveal a pale shoulder, then blew a gentle breath toward Ebisu in his most bashful voice:
“Mmm… come play with me~”
“Enchanted Kiss” activated.
A pink heart, trailing sparkles, drifted from Bai Mu’s lips, aiming straight for Ebisu’s heart, transforming into a shower of cherry blossoms.
Thump!!!
Ebisu’s heart raced, an intoxicating haze flooding his mind, his face filled with lust, drool trickling down, hands clawing as he slowly approached Bai Mu.
“Beautiful… I’m coming… hehehehe…”
As Ebisu drew closer, Bai Mu’s seductive smile twisted into something sinister, and from behind he drew a jagged cleaver, soaked in dirty blood whose stench could never be scrubbed away, raising it high in his hand.
Suddenly, the alluring beauty became a deranged butcher, and the overwhelming scent of blood filled Ebisu’s nose—who knew how many people had been hacked to death for such a powerful reek!
“Ahhhh!!! Pervert!!” Ebisu reacted quickly, leaping back while reaching for his ninja tool pouch.
“Virus Cleaver!” unleashed!
This wasn’t an ordinary throw—some crude technique sent the cleaver through the air without spinning, landing with a thud right between Ebisu’s brows.
Fortunately, it was the flat of the blade.
Even so, the force left a crimson mark from his brow to nose, rattling his brain and knocking him out cold.
“What an easy fight!” Bai Mu grinned wickedly, stepping beside Ebisu to strip off his clothes.
…
“Ahhh… has my child eaten enough?”
“What if it rains? Will he have an umbrella?”
“Is he wearing extra clothes now that it’s cold?”
“Without me watching, will he forget how to use the bathroom…”
“What if he runs into some perverted ninja, who chops him into pieces with a knife…”
“Ahhh… so worried, so worried…”
Spiral White Zetsu rolled anxiously around the base.
“Geez, it’s only been an hour. If you’re that worried, why not just go with him?” Spiky White Zetsu shrugged.
“I’d love to, but our duty is to care for Lord Madara…” Spiral White Zetsu clutched his head in distress.
“Madara’s always sleeping anyway, and besides, I’m here. Go, protect our kid!” Spiky White Zetsu gave a thumbs-up.
“Really? Really! I’m going! I’m really going!” In the blink of an eye, Spiral White Zetsu burrowed underground.
