Chapter 135: The Mouse Version of Transformers

Transformed into a Divine Gear Girl Celestial Flame Demon 2196 words 2026-03-31 07:49:31

“What the hell is that? It can even transform and grow gigantic. It’s a real-life Transformer.”

Having clearly witnessed the bone fiend rats gather together, expand, and fuse into one, Zhuang Xiaoyuan felt a powerful urge to curse.

These past few days had truly been disastrous. First there was the invasion of the Evil Gods, then the demonic beast tide, followed by earth-digging fiends and Emperor-ranked Evil Gods. At long last, she had managed to find a few divine treasures and thought her luck had finally turned around. Who would have thought that a final boss would be waiting for her here?

“Icy Roar.”

Although she lamented her terrible luck, Zhuang Xiaoyuan had no intention of sitting around and waiting for death. Speed had never been her strength, and she could not outrun the bone fiend’s pursuit. Her only option was to slow the enemy down and create some distance between them.

As the frozen aurora struck the giant rat bone fiend’s head, part of its skull was sealed in ice. Zhuang Xiaoyuan seized the opportunity to retreat, narrowly avoiding the giant fiend’s cavernous jaws. Yet the change that followed gave her another glimpse of what a fused transformation truly meant.

The frozen section of the giant bone fiend’s face suddenly broke apart, turning into numerous small bone fiends encased in ice that tumbled to the ground. Around the section that had been torn away, countless smaller bone fiends squirmed rapidly, filling the gap and restoring the missing portion.

There was no way to fight this thing. Unless she could destroy every last small bone fiend in an instant, wouldn’t the giant bone fiend effectively be capable of regenerating forever?

After witnessing its monstrous regenerative ability, Zhuang Xiaoyuan abandoned any thought of confronting it head-on and began doing everything she could to keep it occupied. She led the giant bone fiend in circles around the eastern district. Whenever it was about to catch her, she unleashed another Icy Roar, temporarily halting it while she used the opportunity to widen the distance.

For a time, Zhuang Xiaoyuan barely managed to drag the giant bone fiend around the eastern district several times.

But this was not a long-term solution. Every use of Icy Roar rapidly consumed the divine power within her. The consequences of running out of divine power and being caught were too obvious to need explanation. Even so, Zhuang Xiaoyuan had never intended to flee for her life. She had merely been buying time.

After circling the eastern district several times and estimating that the moment had arrived, Zhuang Xiaoyuan controlled the Icebound Puppet to unleash another Icy Roar, briefly stopping the giant bone fiend once more. Then she adjusted her direction and flew at full speed toward the west.

Noticing that Zhuang Xiaoyuan had changed direction, the giant bone fiend did not hesitate. It made a sharp turn and continued after her.

One traveled through the sky, the other along the ground. One was ahead, the other behind. One sped through open space, while the other charged recklessly across the complicated terrain, smashing through countless buildings as it pursued.

After crossing more than half the city, Zhuang Xiaoyuan saw the truck parked in the center of the western gate. The others had apparently noticed her arrival—and the overwhelmingly imposing giant bone fiend behind her as well. The military-green truck started up and headed straight west. Within a few hundred meters, it had already accelerated to its maximum speed.

“Come back, Icebound Puppet.”

Once she had flown above the truck, Zhuang Xiaoyuan recalled the Icebound Puppet and dropped into the passenger seat.

“Xiaoyuan, let’s switch places. You drive. I’ll accelerate us.”

After Zhuang Xiaoyuan climbed into the passenger seat, Wen Hui breathed a slight sigh of relief. But when she saw the giant bone fiend drawing closer and closer in the rearview mirror, the tension in her heart rose again.

That thing really would not give up.

“All right.”

With Wen Hui’s wind acceleration, the truck could move even faster. After answering readily, Zhuang Xiaoyuan began switching seats with her.

The truck’s speed immediately dropped, and the giant bone fiend behind them drew even closer.

“Step on the gas! It’s catching up!”

With her head thrust out of the window, Wen Hui watched the ever-nearing giant bone fiend. While urging Zhuang Xiaoyuan to accelerate, she also began manipulating the wind to increase their speed.

“The gas pedal? The gas pedal? I can’t reach it!”

Only after changing seats did Zhuang Xiaoyuan realize that she was still in her transformed state—a completely natural little girl with short arms and short legs. She could not reach the truck’s accelerator beneath the dashboard at all.

“Roar!”

The giant bone fiend had already caught up to the rear of the truck. It opened its enormous jaws and bit down on the back section.

Boom!

Its jaws snapped shut on empty air.

Realizing that her arms and legs could not reach the accelerator, Zhuang Xiaoyuan decisively canceled her transformation. At the critical moment, she stomped on the gas. With Wen Hui’s gentle wind lending them speed, the truck rapidly accelerated and raced northeast.

“Roar!”

The giant bone fiend was not about to give up after missing its bite. Its four enormous claws churned rapidly beneath its body as it charged after them at a speed only slightly slower than the truck’s.

“That thing is still chasing us?”

Seeing the figure that refused to fall behind in the rearview mirror, Zhuang Xiaoyuan frowned in exasperation. This was completely different from what she had expected. The smaller bone fiends had been far too slow to catch a truck accelerated by Wen Hui. But the giant bone fiend covered several hundred meters with every swipe of its claws. Although it was still slightly slower, shaking it off would not be easy.

“Xiaoyuan, look ahead!”

Troubled by the giant bone fiend behind them, Zhuang Xiaoyuan was startled by Wen Hui’s shout. She immediately turned her gaze forward and discovered another enormous bone fiend ahead.

This one was a giant wild boar. Two sharp tusks jutted from beneath its snout as it charged violently toward them.

This was bad. It seemed they had accidentally entered a dangerous region.

The dangerous areas marked in the wilderness were generally territories occupied by powerful bone fiends, demons, or other dangerous creatures. Without a detailed map identifying such creatures, they had been forced to follow the road straight northeast and rely on luck. There was no doubt that they had trespassed into the wild boar bone fiend’s territory.

Now they truly had a pig in front and a rat behind.

Zhuang Xiaoyuan abruptly wrenched the steering wheel. The truck lurched left, veering out of the wild boar’s path. Unable to stop its ferocious charge, the boar slammed directly into the giant rat bone fiend, blasting a tremendous hole through its body.

“That was one hell of a collision. They should start fighting, right?”

After steering back onto the road, Wen Hui smiled happily as she watched the wild boar and rat collide in the rearview mirror.

“That remains to be seen. I don’t think things will go quite so smoothly.”

Unwilling to divide her attention by watching what was happening behind them, Zhuang Xiaoyuan kept her eyes fixed on the road ahead as she replied.

“Oh no! They’re both chasing us!”

Under Wen Hui’s gaze, the wild boar shook its dazed head, turned around, and charged after the truck once more. It was considerably faster than the giant rat and had already exceeded the truck’s current maximum speed.

At the same time, the giant rat bone fiend, its body torn open by the impact, rapidly restored itself. Its shattered flesh gathered together once more, and it too began pursuing the truck.

To be continued.
