Heaven and Earth Hotel was a world-class luxury hotel chain, and within the entire city of Haifeng, it stood unrivaled at the very top. Reports claimed that every day, a multitude of celebrities from all walks of life came here to dine.

In his previous life, Ye Feng had only visited a few times in his childhood. Since his return after crossing over, he had yet to set foot here again, so he was wholly unfamiliar with the place.

As night fell, atop the eighty-eight-story skyscraper in the heart of Haifeng, the words "Heaven and Earth" blazed with radiant brilliance, visible to everyone in the city center.

It was the dinner rush at the hotel. Led by the maître d', Ye Feng entered the resplendent main hall. Several beautiful receptionists stood at the entrance to welcome him, tall and imposing doormen opened the doors and guided guests, and the bartenders behind the counter were equally striking. Each time he passed a staff member, they greeted him with a ninety-degree bow and a warm smile.

Along the way, he glimpsed the elegant restaurant, the sauna, and other amenities. The only word Ye Feng found to describe the hotel was "luxurious." Seeing the prices listed at the entrance, he thought them entirely justified.

The hotel’s décor was a blend of modern and vintage. The interior walls were carved from sparkling stone, refracting colored lights so intense that one could hardly open their eyes; the entire hall was enveloped in a dreamlike glow. According to the maître d', the walls shone even brighter during the day, though Ye Feng couldn’t tell what material it was.

"Obviously fluorite. Haven’t you seen it before?" The mischievous voice chimed in at an inopportune moment.

"What’s fluorite? I’ve never heard of it," Ye Feng silently conversed with the voice.

"It’s a self-illuminating stone, an upgraded version of glowstone. In another ten years or so, it’ll probably be all the rage."

"Then why is it already in use here?"

"Good question. Let me analyze." With Ye Feng’s suspicion, the voice grew curious as well. After a dozen seconds, it spoke again, "According to my scan, the fluorite on those walls is processed perfectly, the technique highly advanced. Given the hotel’s background and this technology, I’d say there’s a 96% chance this place is linked to GOD. It’s likely their intelligence network."

"Doesn’t that mean the place is crawling with cameras?" Ye Feng glanced around.

"Of course. You must have noticed—there are no blind spots. Every move you make is under surveillance."

"Got it."

Following the maître d', Ye Feng arrived at the thirty-third floor and entered his suite. The room was even more opulent, not just in decoration but also with top-tier amenities, some of which he’d never seen elsewhere. The luxury suite was nearly two hundred square meters, spacious with several rooms, a small conference area, and a parlor.

All the furniture was made of exquisite ironwood—heavy and masterfully carved. The sideboard held a variety of fine wines, the wardrobe was stocked with an assortment of clothing, and delicate ornaments adorned the counters, adding even more charm to the suite.

The service was impeccable; here, you could truly feel the meaning of "the customer is king."

Gazing at the lavish surroundings, Ye Feng grew more certain that Xu Wen was not a good man. With his salary, a single visit here would cost him at least a decade’s wages—clearly, the money was ill-gotten.

"How many cameras are in here?" Ye Feng asked the voice as soon as they entered, prioritizing his own safety.

"Four in every room—no blind spots!"

"Damn, is there any way around it? I don’t want to be watched the whole time."

"Piece of cake." Barely two seconds passed before the voice came again, "All right, I’ve shorted out the cameras on these five floors. They won’t be fixed any time soon."

"How did you do it so fast?"

"Easy. A strong current instantly fried the wires—it looks like an accident," the voice replied smugly.

Xu Wen soon arrived and apologized upon entering, "Young Master Xu, I’m terribly sorry. Some business at the bureau held me up. I shouldn’t have kept you waiting."

"It’s fine," Ye Feng replied coolly.

"Let’s sit. I’ve already ordered our food."

The rest of the evening was rather conventional—Xu Wen spent the dinner flattering Ye Feng, while Ye Feng maintained the demeanor of a mysterious expert.

As the meal drew to a close, Ye Feng finally put his plan into motion. He and the voice had agreed beforehand: Xu Wen would become his servant.

The voice stunned Xu Wen with a jolt, and Ye Feng took the chance to have him swallow the Loyalty Pill.

And so, Xu Wen became his utterly loyal subordinate.

Ye Feng instructed Xu Wen to focus on solidifying his current position, as many eyes watched the bureau chief.

After Xu Wen left, Ye Feng had the voice scan the entire hotel for clues.

The voice’s scan only further confirmed that the hotel was a GOD operation—there were many weapons and devices present that had no business existing yet. However, the manager seemed to be absent.

"There’s something I need to tell you," the voice suddenly announced.

"What is it? Any findings?" Ye Feng hoped for a lead.

"I’ve finished scanning the whole building. It’s definitely GOD’s intelligence division. But that’s not it—Tang Shujuan has been drugged. Are you going to save her?"

"What?! Who’s been drugged?" Ye Feng asked again, uncertain.

"Your girlfriend from your previous life. Are you going to save her or not? She’s just been dragged into the elevator—going to the fifty-seventh floor. If you want to help, you’d better hurry."

Ye Feng answered with his actions, dashing out of the suite toward the elevators, but when he arrived, it had already ascended. He instructed the voice to keep tracking while he took the stairs.

Twenty-four floors were nothing to Ye Feng now—a few minutes at most. But in those few minutes, anything could happen.

Reaching the fifty-seventh floor, he came to the door of room 5736 and knocked urgently.

No answer.

He knocked again.

"Excuse me, sir, is there something I can help you with?" A male attendant approached, frowning.

Ye Feng ignored him and kicked the door hard. With a bang, it flew open. Inside, a man and a woman faced off across a table. The man’s face bore a vivid handprint, his expression dark, while the woman, her cheeks deeply flushed and her gaze oddly unsettled, turned toward him. Was it not Tang Shujuan?
