Volume 1, Chapter 135: Missing your ex-husband?
Jiang Mu hurried toward the elevator with the unconscious Shen Yubai, just as Li Ruochu stepped out of her office. She glanced up inadvertently and saw Jiang Mu entering the elevator with someone; the figure looked strangely familiar.
"What?" Da Kong Dadi started, and immediately following, a violent tremor nearly knocked him to the ground.
The gaunt youth in the black robe flew into a rage, striking out with a palm that repelled Marshal Tianpeng, Zhu Bajie, and the Great Sage Equaling Heaven, Sun Wukong.
Of course, one could not rule out that these two were merely stalling for time. With only twenty seconds left before the opposing jungler respawned, the outcome of taking the Baron was far from certain.
Truth be told, I hadn't intended to bring this up, but the more I thought about it, the angrier I became. I simply couldn't hold it in any longer. I suppose I am partly to blame; had I warned them sooner, we would have secured the victory smoothly.
However, I didn't play by the rules. Instead of following the standard path, I used the Blind Monk's taunt emote right in front of them, taunting the Korean jungler who was in the middle of recalling. The people around me were stunned; they hadn't expected me to be so brazen as to taunt the Korean "King of the Jungle's" Blind Monk.
Madam Xu stood dumbfounded for a long moment before finally saying, "It seems we need to replace our current guards. This time it was an acquaintance, so we avoided a catastrophe. If it had been..." The consequences were too horrifying to imagine.
"What are you thinking about?" Warm breath brushed against her neck, startling Ruoxuan, who instinctively turned to look at him.
The drawback was that the formation was overly vast and complex, with numerous focal points that were inextricably linked; each was indispensable. It required at least a thousand people working in unison to display even a fraction of its divine power.
In a state of delirium, Zhou Liang felt his body shattering and reforming, and he even thought he saw Lan Daogu, though his consciousness remained hazy.
He Ningxin was just about to erupt when the sound of running maids and nannies came from behind. It was the wet nurses, maids, and matrons of Chu Qianyi and Chu Qianqian who had caught up.
"Han Zimo, after all these years, after everything we've done, what exactly am I to you?" Xiao Lingfeng tackled him to the ground, forced his face to look up, and demanded harshly.
"Sigh..." Hu Yihai glanced at his wife on the floor and sighed. How could he possibly stand by and watch his son provoke the Prince's Mansion? Nothing good could ever come of that.
Yin Yan had spent the entire journey racking his brains to convince himself to be pragmatic and bow his head to Jun Wuxie for the time being.
"You've certainly calculated well—having me complete your tasks while also shielding you from disaster," Zixi remarked, her tone carrying a hint of praise.
In this way, Lan Qian's attempt to build himself up into a master capable of dueling others became exceptionally difficult.
Ignoring his injuries, Zhang Yuchu spread his arms like a roc and flew toward Duan Ziyu, launching a "Heavenly Thunder Palm" at Yang Xiao. The palm wind roared with the sound of thunder; this angry strike from Zhang Yuchu had tapped into his hidden potential, making it even more powerful than before he was wounded.
Lu Lingzhi had left the wilderness for Donglai. Before he even arrived, he learned that the Qianluosha had broken into the Priest's Palace and rescued Ye Zhen. His reason for obeying Qi Ruoshui, beyond the fact that she had saved his life, was her promise that once she succeeded, she would hand Ye Zhen over to him to do with as he pleased.
However, some people did believe it, such as Zhang Yuchu and Duan Ziyu, though they quickly dismissed the thought.
If you intend to scheme against the Demon Lord... setting aside whether you could succeed, the moment he senses even the slightest suspicion, the entire nation behind you will be implicated.
Ji Quan stared at the angry Ji Yun with wide eyes, not daring to provoke her further. He went to the side to pull out another one, but just as he was about to tear it open, Ji Yun strode over, snatched it back, and threw it away. She then looked at Ji Quan, watching him with an eerie calm.
