Qin Zong glanced at himself and sighed helplessly; in his current state, even his own mother wouldn’t recognize him.
“Wait for me a moment,” Qin Zong said, unleashing his spiritual power and dashing at full speed toward a nearby puddle. With a splash, he dove in, and moments later, his tattered clothes surfaced, but at least his face was finally clean.

“Are you… Captain Qin?” The lieutenant scrutinized Qin Zong’s features, hesitant and uncertain.

“Yes, it’s me. I told you, we’re on the same side. It’s all right, it’s all right. You can all go back. We were just sparring, nothing more. Thank you, brothers. Next time, drinks are on me!” Qin Zong waved his hand generously.

The lieutenant’s gaze toward Han Feng shifted; he knew exactly who Qin Zong was—a peak-level B-class martial artist. Anyone who could spar with Qin Zong must be of similar strength, another dangerous figure. He decided he ought to make a note in his little book.

“All right, Captain Qin. We’ll withdraw now, won’t disturb you further. Goodbye.” The lieutenant signaled, and his men neatly shouldered their weapons, stood at attention, then turned and marched away.

“Good, good, take care,” Qin Zong called after them, waving.

Then he turned and threw an arm around Han Feng’s shoulders, saying, “Come on, let’s head into the city, back to headquarters.”

Han Feng shivered at Qin Zong’s expression, feeling as if a lamb were about to enter a tiger’s den. If he didn’t know Qin Zong well, he might have assumed the man was a human trafficker.

Qin Zong quickly made a call, and soon a hovering shuttle arrived. The group boarded and sped toward Dragon City.

As the military, political, and economic heart of the Republic of Longteng, Dragon City sprawled over a vast area. Inside, the city was clean and orderly, with towering buildings densely packed, expensive hover shuttles everywhere, and the people enjoying a high standard of living—a city brimming with prosperity.

The hover shuttle brought them to the base of a grand building. After disembarking, they took a dedicated elevator downward for what felt like an eternity. When the doors finally opened, a vast underground space revealed itself. Han Feng knew this was the headquarters of Azure Dragon.

Azure Dragon’s headquarters was home to many experts; several A-class superhumans gathered here, and even a formidable S-class master presided within.

Just as Han Feng stepped out of the elevator, he noticed everything around him seemed to freeze. Time itself stood still, and only he could move.

Suddenly, an intense light forced Han Feng to squint, shielding his eyes with his hand. In the haze, he thought he saw an old man with a long beard.

Han Feng tried to see more clearly, but the elder’s features grew increasingly indistinct. Only a dignified voice echoed: “Child, you do not belong to this world. Your world is about to face a great catastrophe. Compared to here, your world needs you more. Go back—return to where you truly belong!”

A blinding light engulfed Han Feng, and his figure vanished from this world.
