Chapter 112: Gulala, the Dark God — Transformation

Just like in the movie.
Roald remained hidden behind the scenes, quietly watching as Jane Foster triggered the unfolding events, without any intention of interfering.
Near Stonehenge, after the doctor from Jane Foster’s astronomy team ran around the stones a few times in a trance-like state, a new event was triggered.
They only had to wait for Jane Foster to ascend to the heavens—no, once she arrived in Asgard, Roald could then gather intelligence on Asgard.
Several cards had already been integrated into Jane’s body, and depending on the situation, teleportation might commence.
Roald had heard that Odin’s treasury held the Eternal Flame along with many great treasures, and his curiosity was piqued.
“Are we just going to watch everything unfold naturally, Your Majesty?” Sindragosa asked from outside Stonehenge, watching Jane but communicating with Roald in her mind.
“Yes, for now we prepare the scene here and experience the plot CG; we wait patiently for the right moment to enter the main storyline.”
The Little Study Pavilion
Previously, Roald had used the advantage of the plot to set up a protective barrier around Stonehenge. With Kel’Thuzad’s obelisk present, it completely masked their aura, just as when they initially hid. The obelisk’s energy could even mislead Heimdall’s perception.
“Next, we just wait for the Dark Elves to arrive, then watch the ether particles merge into Jane’s body, allowing my cards to integrate as well.
“Whether it’s a small teleportation portal on Jane or Jane herself becoming a spatial gem coordinate to utilize.”
“So, what is my mission?” Sindragosa wondered. Why had she wasted three months by Jane Foster’s side?
“You are here to wait for the Dark Elves’ arrival and to remove suspicion.”
“When will they come here?”
“We don’t know exactly where the Dark Elves are now, but as long as Jane is here, and the ether particles are here, whether the Dark Elves are still in the space-time rift or already en route, once they enter the realm of the Nine Worlds, Asgard should react. Odin himself might send someone because the Dark Elves are their mortal enemies, and Thor is here. Moreover, with the overlapping of the Nine Worlds and the blurring of boundaries, this is the best opportunity for the Dark Elves—and for us—to wait.”
Just as in the original story, Jane’s role was to help the Dark Elves internally sabotage Asgard.
Now, Roald planned to be the final, decisive piece.
But they still had to guard against Odin.

Kel’Thuzad had already forged the phylactery.
In truth, the overlapping of the Nine Worlds had already begun as the ether particles merged into Jane Foster’s body.
“So, the Dark Elf you mentioned—is it that guy?”
As the dense mist around Stonehenge dispersed, everyone saw a figure approaching—a being clad predominantly in black and white, with hints of dark purple, a stiff expressionless face, and large eyes. It was unmistakably a poker-faced figure.
“I believe so. Now, we must watch and wait.”
Odin and Malekith might also be observing covertly.
Roald looked in the direction Sindragosa indicated. In the distance, a figure resembling a tokusatsu actor in a leather suit slowly approached.
The Dark Elf had arrived.
Thor, holding Jane, saw it as well.
The Dark Elf’s outfit was one of the most iconic from the film, reminding Roald of the Protoss Judicator from StarCraft. Beyond resembling a tokusatsu actor, they truly looked like Judicators in full leather gear. It wouldn’t seem out of place if someone shouted, “Gurala, transform in the name of the Dark God!”
Yet only one Dark Elf had appeared, which seemed odd to Roald.
Considering the remaining Dark Elves possessed spaceships, the arrival of just one implied that the others knew this location’s coordinates, possibly orbiting the planet or hidden in the shadows.
Though only one Dark Elf was visible, countless others lurked stealthily, watching intently.
The Malekith from the movie—more precisely, Malekith the Accursed—was no simple character; one who could arm wrestle Odin would be formidable.
Compared to the movie, the comic’s Dark Elf King had a truly legendary life.
He was a mighty warrior and a sage, skilled in strategy. This Dark Elf was surely sent to probe, whether to test Odin or other forces. Until everything was clear, he would not reveal himself unnecessarily.
More importantly, he wielded the Cursed Stone, using it to create Cursed Warriors—these beings were the strongest, most elite among the Dark Elves, possessing tremendous combat power.
During the sabotage of Asgard, the Cursed Warriors played a critical role.
Clearly, the Dark Elf exposed before all eyes was Malekith’s probe. Heimdall surely saw him, and Odin was watching everything.
Roald was in the shadows.
Naturally, Malekith was waiting. Their ships were highly advanced, cloaked to a degree that even Asgard’s light-energy technology couldn’t detect them deeply.

“Should we ignore it?” Sindragosa asked again.
“Yes. Thor will clear all obstacles for us.”
“For Asgard!!!”
As soon as Roald finished speaking, Thor, still holding Jane, raised his hand, and Mjolnir flew into it. Then came a roar.
Not only did he shout his name, but electrical currents surged around him as he charged toward the distant Dark Elf.
To everyone’s surprise, Thor moved swiftly, leaping with lightning flashing from his hammer long before he was within a few dozen meters of the charging Dark Elf warrior, then brought the hammer crashing down.
“Bang—”
Electricity exploded in all directions.
The Dark Elf dodged the attack with a leap and a roll, then gave Thor a stiff, mocking smile.
Though the Dark Elf’s expression was subtle, Thor sensed the disdainful contempt in those eyes.
“Zzz—”
The electric currents on Thor’s hammer grew fiercer as he charged again.
Stepping back slightly, the Dark Elf pulled a small orb from his pocket.
Then, under everyone’s watchful eyes, he crushed it.
Visibly, the slender Dark Elf’s body began to change—his spine lengthened and thickened, his physique grew taller, muscles bulked up, and his black-and-white leather suit developed red cracks. Within seconds, a towering two-meter-tall armor-clad Dark Elf warrior stood before them.
“Roar~~” The transformed Dark Elf leapt fiercely, then clasped his fists and slammed them down toward Thor.
“This is the kind of fight I enjoy.”
Raising his hammer with one hand, Thor’s face lit with delight as he entered warrior mode.
