Chapter 132: The Advantage Is Mine!

If they had been in Asgard, Hela would have held an absolute advantage.
But with Kel’Thuzad providing support on the battlefield, and with Rold protected by so much armor and an [Anti-Magic Shield], none of the short blades Hela hurled at him had any effect.
Everything proceeded according to plan. Rold seized his opportunity and bombarded Hela with [Mind Control] and [Energy Drain] as though they cost him nothing.
Once Hela had been subdued, Thor, Loki, and the Guardians of the Galaxy decisively surrendered.
After all, they might not have been able to defeat Hela alone.
As rainbow-colored light flashed, the group once again returned to Asgard through the Bifrost.
“Are we really just giving up the fight?”
Thor stared at Loki, frantically signaling with his eyes.
Loki covered his forehead.
Kel’Thuzad, who had toyed with them earlier, went without saying. The muscular man with the axe and the one wielding the greatsword were both formidable as well.
Now there was Hela too, who had crushed Thor’s hammer with one hand. Thor felt that his future had grown so bleak that not even a glimmer of light remained.
“Then what do you suggest we do? You no longer have your hammer! If we refuse to surrender, we’ll die on Earth. Do you really want the two of us to die there? Especially now that Odin is gone? We need to wait for an opportunity!”
Thor could find no grounds to refute Loki.
With Kel’Thuzad and Rold present, Thor and Loki might truly have been killed.
They certainly did not believe Hela would take their side, and Rold did not look like a particularly reasonable man either.
While controlling Hela, Rold had originally intended to use [Mind Control] on Thor and Loki as well. But after thinking it over, he abandoned the idea.
Controlling Hela could still be regarded as marrying off a daughter, but controlling Thor and Loki would make the situation fundamentally different.
To guard against the possibility that Odin was not completely dead, it was better to play things safe for now.
To be honest, Thor and Loki were still somewhat dazed.
They had finally found Odin on Earth, only for him to die on the spot—and even leave them a powerful elder sister, one who had crushed Thor’s hammer with a single slap.
Yet several people who seemed even more terrifying than their sister had appeared afterward.
Then a man who was clearly a villainous final boss had subdued their sister, and now they had returned to Asgard.
This was a disaster atop a disaster!
“Ohhh—this feeling! Yes, this is it! How long has it been? This feeling of overflowing power… I haven’t felt it in so long!!!”

Following Thor and Loki came their elder sister, Hela, Asgard’s eldest princess.
Standing upon the Bifrost, Hela breathed in Asgard’s air with intoxicated delight, her arms spread wide as though embracing Asgard itself.
After all, in her eyes, Asgard was the source of her power!
Only after returning to Asgard was Hela truly Hela. As long as Asgard existed, and she remained within it, she was invincible.
Sword Comes
With the feedback from Rold’s side added to the equation, Hela felt that she had grown even stronger.
“Now then… let us see what sort of guests we are about to receive!”
Rold turned around on the Bifrost. He had already sensed something unusual.
“Um, you all seem to be having a wonderful time, but I should remind you of something. It seems we have guests—and very large ones at that.”
The moment Rold finished speaking, Skurge, who controlled the Bifrost, could not help but warn them.
He was facing everyone else. Since all of them had emerged from the Bifrost while Skurge alone faced it, he had a clear view of the universe beyond the bridge—or rather, of the enormous spaceship approaching through it.
“What?”
Thor and Loki turned around together. Their reaction surprised the Guardians of the Galaxy, who had returned a moment later.
“What’s wrong? What are you looking at?”
“Um, we’re looking at that big thing behind us.”
Although someone was blocking his view, Thor could still see what was happening outside thanks to his height.
A gigantic warship floated in the region of space beyond Asgard’s Bifrost. Its weapons bays were slowly opening, making it look very much like a vessel preparing to attack.
“No, that’s not right. They’re preparing to attack!”
Thor understood the gravity of the situation.
“Quick! Notify everyone! Asgard is under attack!”
As Asgard’s God of War, Thor instinctively bellowed the order. He even reflexively extended his right hand, attempting to summon his hammer.
After waiting for some time and receiving nothing, he finally remembered that he no longer had one.
“That—that’s Thanos’s flagship!”
Gamora had also clearly recognized the ship. The moment she saw it, she identified it at once, because it was the vessel she had lived aboard for many years—the very ship Thanos used as his flagship. No one knew it better than she did.
“What? Thanos?!”

Drax also came to his senses. The man he wanted to kill was Thanos!
He immediately drew the twin blades from his belt and looked toward the ship in space.
“Yes. This ship belongs to Thanos, which means Thanos must be aboard it. Without his orders, this ship would never move on its own!”
Gamora looked at Drax.
“If you want to kill Thanos, you’ll have to board that ship—or wait for him to come down from it.”
“Oh? Thanos arrived so quickly?”
It was not only the Guardians who were surprised. Rold was also astonished upon seeing Thanos’s flagship.
To be honest, Rold felt that Thanos’s arrival was a little too perfectly timed. Odin’s death had also come at a suspiciously convenient moment.
Could Odin have planned this?
The question surfaced in Rold’s mind.
According to the timeline, Thanos should not have arrived in Asgard this early.
Although Odin had indeed been pretending to be dead, Hela had appeared as well. For Thanos to arrive at this point seemed far too early.
Had the story simply skipped straight from Thor: Ragnarok to this moment?
Rold looked toward Gamora and Quill.
Had Thanos already obtained the Power Stone? Or was the Power Stone in Quill’s possession? Alternatively, did Gamora have the Soul Stone?
Was the reason for Thanos’s rapid and precise arrival that Quill and Gamora were both here—or that one of the Stones was here?
Rold began sorting through the information. After all, based on what he knew:
If Quill and Gamora possessed the Stones, then Thanos should not yet have any other Stones in his possession.
If neither Gamora nor Quill had a Stone, then Thanos must already possess the Power Stone.
As for his own side, they possessed the Mind Stone, the Reality Stone, and the Space Stone.
The advantage was on his side!
At least, that was what Rold thought.
